How to Pick Your Best Photos

It takes hundreds if not thousands of photos to get to that one photo that tells the story or shares the vision of what you’re trying to photograph. You might be wondering how many photos to keep, how many photos to get rid of, or perhaps even how many photos to share online; whether it be tiktok or Instagram.

For most photoshoots, I keep almost all of the photos I shoot. Photos are relatively small in file size, and don’t take up a significant amount of hard drive space. That being said, only about 10% of those photos are what I would consider “keepers”, and even less (around 1%) are what I would consider being Instagram-worthy.

I recently spent an hour doing some street photos downtown, and wanted to share with you some of the things I look for sorting and picking the best of the best inside of Lightroom.
