Fix Any Photo with Lightroom Masking

Masking in Lightroom is a VERY powerful tool. In the latest release of Lightroom Classic, Adobe introduced new masking tools that allow you to make automatic selections of either a subject or the sky.

The tool is pretty intuitive, and I have yet to encounter an image where it can’t accurately detect the sky. Subject detection is a bit trickier though, since it isn’t always obvious what portion of your image is the subject, especially when there are multiple subjects OR, the subject is a bit more abstract like in the example below.

In this video I walk through the new Masking Tools as well as some of the masking techniques I use when editing photos. Sometimes your photo just needs that extra bit of editing *magic* to get it looking the way you imagined!
